Malt extract - Make brewing easier

The brewing process starts with malt. But did you know that you can skip the crushing and mashing?
Malt extract is a concentrated product that replaces the wort. The liquid malt extracts have been developed from the finest malting barley. Therefore, they are specifically made for brewing applications.
But how are they made? Malted barley is extracted with enzyme assisted hot water. Then it is filtered and concentrated under vacuum evaporation. The result is a viscous liquid that you can use as wort. And it saves space too!
Birdys has two malt extracts available in 25 kg – Light (made from pale and coloured malts) and Dark (strong savoury, smoky and roasted flavours).
