Meet Charles Faram: Hop suppliers since 1865

Charles Faram has been a hop supplier for over 150 years, so there is got a lot of hop history. When they started trading in the old hop market in Worcester city centre, there were only three hop varieties available: Fuggles, Goldings and Challenger. Charles Faram decided to also open a traditional hop store, that still stands today!

As time went by, Charles Faram was the only business of the old hop market to have survived. In fact, they have been growing ever since. Through the decades they built great relationships, not only with local growers, but also from other parts of the world, like Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and the USA.

They have one of the largest ranges of hop varieties available. This goes beyond the classics, like Amarillo, Citra and Chinook. One of the most important pillars is their own breeding and development program, that gave us hops like Archer, Godiva, and Jester.
